The speed limit in Fayetteville Georgia is 45mph. As you are leaving town going north on Georgia 85 you go through the last set of lights in town and head up a slight incline. As you are going up the incline you see on your right the speed limit sign for 55 mph and you start to increase your speed. The city police sit on Roberts road on your left which is directly accross from the 55mph speed sign. They set their radar 999.9 feet to the south and hit you as you start your speed increase. It is a natural reaction to start to accelerate when you see the 55 sign but the law states that the speed limit does not change until you reach the sign. This is a real revenue maker for the city and I know of no one whom has beat this ticket.
