The VT state police like to sit on the sidestreets of VT-9 through Bennington under the cover of dark. If you’re just passing through at night, you’ll barely notice the drop in the speed limit from 50 to 25. Luckily I was pulled over for a headlight being out, but I was clocked at a reasonable rate of speed, so they were watching.
