State Highway A1A near Duval/St. John’s County line
As you pass Butler Blvd. on A1A southbound, it goes from an urban road to a much more wide-open one instantly. The St. John’s County line is about half a mile south, and occasionally late at night you’ll see St. John’s County deputies parked off the side of the road running radar. They make no real effort to hide themselves and will generally give a warning for less than 15 over, assuming they pull you all. I admit to blasting by them at 61 once in a 45 zone, and as far as I could tell, they didn’t even look up.
