Nederland police tend to wait on the westbound shoulder of CO 119 as it comes up from Boulder Canyon. Their white Ford Exploders are usually hidden from westbound traffic behind the "welcome to Nederland" signage, but visible to eastbound traffic. Weekends are the prime enforcement times, especially for motorcyclists. Once in a while they switch sides to sit at a driveway on the eastbound side.

JULY 2010 UPDATE: They drive black Jeep Liberties, or a silver Jeep Liberty. The guys are GREAT... however, they will stop you if you are speeding. The speed drops from 45 to 35 just as you're coming into town, and then from 35 to 25 a short distance later. Pay close attention as you leave town, too. It's best to just not speed at all in or around Nederland.
