Highway 80 recently 4 laned- speed drops to 45 from 60 in short stretch. Alva here is mostly undeveloped, and a driver would not notice that they are in a town and expect to slow down. Missing seeing the one lower speed limit sign from either east or west is a costly mistake. Both Lee County Sheriff and State Highway Patrol make lots of money here.
