State Highway Hwy-249 near Tomball Wal-Mart

This new Speed Trap is when you approach Tomball Wal-Mart coming into town. They hide in the parking lot just before Wal-Mart with radar/lidar guns pointed at traffic. I’ve noticed them working in pairs.
Speed limit slows from 55 to 40 around here, so watch it. And now with construction, it’s down to 35 mph! I think they drag their feet on construction to drag out this speed trap. They sure are taking advantage of this. People in my office alread got speeding tickets in that area.

In summary, the whole town of Tomball is Speed Trap. There are few roads in or out of this forsaken place. I moved here to work. What a mistake. I have never in my life seen so many people pulled over. Every day around here. Morning noon and night. They look for anything and everything. Any excuse to approach you and see what else they can hammer you for.

Public Safety? Or revenue enhancement? It is NOT about public safety here. It IS about financing the City of Tomball. Make no mistake!

I think the Texas Rangers need to step in and take a look at City of Tomball practices and possibly review the books. It’s very bad here.
