At the western end of the spillway bridge troopers park off
the road and wait for cars to come speeding by (going west). They may also sit in the median and in this case can clock you going east or west.At the western end of the spillway is a small hill which hides them well until you are right on them. I seldom see them at the eastern end of the spillway but they have set up shop there a few times I drove by. Their reason for not setting up here more often is because here you enter the town of Norco, LA, and the limit drops to 45 mph and stoplights come into play.
