State Highway Illinois Rt. 72 near downtown
Local police and occassionaly state police are sitting in parking lots and side streets along this route. The speed limit drops from 55 to 30 very quickly as you come into town from both the east and west on Rt 72

It's been many years, and the cop that did this is gone, but he would get a radar reading from cars on the I-90 tollway (usually 65mph) when he went on the US-72 or Tyrell Rd. overpass and then pin it on the next car he picked up coming through town.
