State Highway Imperial Highway near Beach Boulevard

A motorcycle cop sits on a tree-shrouded median strip on Imperial Hwy in La Habra, a couple of blocks west of Beach Blvd. He points his radar gun and, amazingly, everyone he catches seems to be going 61 miles per hour. (Posted speed limit there is 45 mph.)
I don’t know if he is there at night, but seems to always be there in the morning and often in the afternoon. I’ve seen him at this location for years.

Comments:
This is DEFINITELY a speed trap (& has been for years!). When driving east, and passing last signal at First Ave in La Mirada, you can't see this guy until it WAY too late! In fact, you can't see him until you get about 50 yards from him (and by that time he's started his engine, & if he had you on radar, he's coming out to get you. I live 200 yards from where he sits on his motorcycle. He's generally there all morning. I rarely see an officer there in the afternoon, but after you pass First Ave east-bound, GET LEGAL!
