State Highway Route 28 South near State Route 29
When heading Route 28 South towards Manassas as you pass under Route 29. They sit back off the road on the right shoulder as you cross under the Route 29 bridge they "hit you." If you are speeding you are a "sitting duck!"

This is an interesting speedtrap because now that they have put several overpasses in on 28, they catch you either speeding up to get on rt 66 or as you're coming off 66... I think they should really evaluate the speed limit there now that the road has been widened and there is the overpass...there is no reason for 45 mph...
VDOT did evaluate the speed limit and they lowered it on the rest of 28 south of here. It used to be 55MPH between Upperidge Rd. and the PW County line, that is now 45MPH.
This trap has been working for YEARS. Don't let the old dates fool you. It is still active. Also typical VDOT action---improve the road and LOWER the speed limit. Makes a lot of sense, right!!!
