all of route 6 that runs thru Eastham is posted at 40mph and all police vehicles have both moving and stionary radar.

This section of road is a major moneymaker for the Town of Eastham. They actually predetermine the amount of money they expect to make from trapping speeders, and consider it when they make up the budget. Orleans too.
Interesting, in my day (I grew up in Orleans, graduated high school in 1956: me old fart) the speed limit was 45. I go back occasionally. 40MPH is ludicrous; when it is not, the speed is self-regulating.
I grew up in Eastham and graduated in 1995. The speed limit through town USED to be 50 - 55 MPH...now, I can walk faster through town!
