State Hwy 117 & I- 40
Right as you get off the exit, by the Travellodge hotel. Skip Grants and go on to Gallup would be my advice.

This one is not generally a problem for me, since I"m never anywhere near the 70 "required" on I-40 when I pull off the highway at that exit. And some of us would way PREFER to live in Gallup but housing, at least cheap available housing, is more readily available sooner in Grants.
I have, however, noticed that the ON-ramp at that exit, to the Eastbound 40, is a "have your license plate scanned for no apparent reason" trap.
