The town capitalizes on having the main road to AL/FL beaches run through it and takes in a huge amount of ticket revenues. Not only are tickets always written, the court is run by a martinet with legally mandated “costs” that cannot be waived or modified. Court is packed, chairs insufficient for crowds and the pace of hearings (including drug matters) very tedious. This trap is well known to locals but its main victims are out of towners beachbound.
