This trap is located on a stretch straight thru cotton fields near the AR border..posted speed limit is 55..local deputy sits in the edge of fields or beside equipment sheds and claims to radar several cars at a time. The line of cars I was in when supposedly caught speeding, were all non-residence of LA. When stopping for gas in a nearby town, we were told by locals that East Carroll Parish and the city of Lake Providence had the worst reputation for being a speed trap and their county sheriff’s office operated on fine money year after year!!! I would love to obtain info to see if this is true or not, but my fine was $169. and I am sure the other two vehicles stopped at the same time, had to pay the same amount!!
