State Route 12 Michigan Ave near Grove Street
Michigan Ave (US-12 Business Route) going Westbound. Between Grove St. (Speedway Gas Station) thru Downtown Ypsilanti. Speed Limit goes from 55 to 30 MPH Really fast less then 2 miles. Police hide on side of buildings and in plain view especially at night when the stores close. Most of the cars are marked "Blank and White" with city logos fully displayed.

This is not a speed trap. The speed limit is 30 mph as of Grove Rd. It has been 35 mph since Harris road just west of the Ford boulevard bridge and before that it is 40 mph at Spencer Lane. Pay attention to the road signs. This slow down starts at Ridge road where US 12 changes from a divided highway (4 lane) into an undivided highway (4 lane) and the speed limit drops from 55mph to 50mph. It is a well marked and gradual slow down coming west into the city of Ypsilanti.
