State Route 123 East to West from Franklin City sign to I-75 overpass.

There is one small sign posted 35MPH at the city limit edge heading West into Franklin from Route 122 on the East. The next sign is one and one half miles further West on 123 but there are at least seven (or more) entrances onto 123 without a posted speed limit sign, at least on the West Bound side. I stopped at a stop sign, across from one Industrial Park, before entering 123. Across from me were two City Police, in separate cruisers. One pulled out in front of me and the other motioned for me to go ahead and pull out. I was between the two cruisers with the one in front going 50 MPH, (no lights or sirens) and proceeded this way for one and a half miles before the officer following me pulled me over and informed me that I was speeding, 50 in a 35 zone. I asked him why he followed me for that distance and allowed me to speed that long and that I was following the cruiser ahead of me, who by the way had stopped at a traffic light just beyond where I was pulled over. I was told that he was on an "emergency call", sure with no lights or sirens and stopping for a traffic light. I think he knew he had been trumped so he asked for my insurance papers, checked over the vehicle and went grudgingly on his way. I see them setting behind obstacles along that stretch all the time so be extremely careful.
