State Route 144 near Right before the railroad tracks.

Basically, cops always hang out on MD 144 in Mount Airy at the bottom of the huge hill next to the (now defunct) train tracks. The speed limit is 30 MPH there, however, if travelling west on 144 (towards new market and going down the hill), it is impossible to maintain 30 MPH without braking due to the hill. The speed limit is completely unreasonable, and they routinely target people for going only a few mph over it. They like to hide out down there whenever it is dark so that people can’t see them (and they think we buy their lies about safety), and always seem to have someone pulled over. I’ve never gotten a ticket there, but my sister has, and from working in Mount Airy and taking that road everyday, I saw plenty of people pulled over.
