The Trooper sits on the east side of the road (Rt. 202) in New Hartford on the down side of the hill just before you come to the bottom where the Saybrook Fish House Restaurant is in Canton, at the four corners. He can see straight back about 1/2 mile up the hill, so if you come around the corner at the top of the hill too fast, it’s already too late. He sits in a place where he can have his choice of monitoring traffic coming down or going up Rt. 202 towards Torrington.
