State Route 21 near State Route 16
Speed limit drops from 65 to 55 to 45 in less than a mile in both directions. Usually a Sun Police and/or St. Tammany Parish. Rarely, there is a state trooper, but it does occur from time to time. Sun is a small town of about 400 people and one gas station. Tickets are their main source of income.

In my opinion, this is not a speed trap. I frequently travel to Covington, LA using Highway 21, going through Sun.
There is ample signage announcing the reduced speed. "Reduced Speed Ahead" signs are placed in clear areas such that there is plenty of time to slow down and obey the posted limits.
Braking isn't necessary; just letting a bit off the gas is. A normally alert driver should have no difficulty with the reduced speed area at Sun.
