State Route 30 near St. John Road
Sitting on the north side of rt. 30 west of St. John rd. speed limit changes from 35 to 45 mph.

the cop may sit there, but it is to monitor traffic going west, and probably not going east. St. John Rd. is the town border, west of St. John Rd. is Dyer's jurisdiction, east of St. John Rd. is Schererville's Jurisdiction. (This does not mean that you cant get pulled over by Dyer when you cross into Schererville, but my guess is that it is not very likely.)
