State Route 4 near Dover, NH to Maine Border

Rollinsford, New HampshireJul 01, 20061 Comments

Portland Street (Route 4) begins and ends in Rollinsford as a 35 MPH roadway. The limit is 50, not 55 between, and the lower posted speed limit is adequately signed. However – where you have to slow is well prior to the town border or any notable intersection. This area pays off daily in high ticket volume. 20+ mph over the limit isn’t uncommon.

Comments:
Actually, coming from Oak Street towards Maine the posted speed limit is 55. That is irrelevant anyway though. No matter what the posted speed is, if you are obeying it you will have no problems. Put away the the cell phones people! Pay attention to your driving! A drivers license gives you permission to drive according to the rules, not to drive the way you feel like driving. The speed limits around the area are well posted and therefore, are not traps.
