State Route 43 near River Bend Boulevard

Kent, OhioSep 01, 20083 Comments

This speed trap is used by Kent police, State Troopers and the Sheriff’s Dept either in the morning or very late at night. The police will sit away from the road where they are not visable to traffic, in the parking lot of Franklin Elementary School directly across from Davy Tree HQ.

Comments:
Yeah, it's a speed trap when people are supposed to do the 20mph limit during school hours, duh!

It's not a speed trap if you're not speeding!!! They sit there for a reason. I travel that way every day and there are plenty of people who think the 20 MPH rule doesn't apply to them. I love it when cops sit there!!!

I agree it's not a speed trap - there are two schools here and when it's an active 20 mph school zone I've been passed by school busses even doing 30.
