Yes this is a speed trap. Lithopolis Police sit on top of a hill just inside the corporation limit. The speed limit goes from 55 to 45 back to 55 in less of a mile stretch. The Speed limit sign is located at the bottom of the hill along with the corporation sign. Good luck trying to slow down while coming down a large hill prior to the sign. Cop followed my for a couple of miles out of the county before pulling me over. I told him that by the time I saw the speed limit sign he had already gunned me ( I had a radar detector but did not disclose that to him). I also told him I had another 1900 miles to drive to go until my next stop. He didn't care. He wrote me for 64 in a 45. I was actually going 59 in the 55 prior to crossing the corporation line ( Downhill). Knew there was no chance to fight it since it is one of those "Mayor's Courts"
