Right before the exit to go to Sherman, NY there are a bunch of trees and usually you can see 3-4 cops sitting there and some of these are the Sherman cops and since Sherman is a small town they catch people going 3-4 mph over and if you are going more the 75 (as I was) yea you will be in court with a hefty fine.

Sherman doesn't have its own police department but they have the county Sheriffs. The municipality gets the fine $ though.
Over the years, I have gotten three or four speeding tickets in this small stretch of highway. Otherwise, my driving record is pretty unremarkable. Earlier post is correct. They will give you a ticket for being marginally over the speed limit. There are NEVER warnings because they are using this as steady revenue source for this little town.
