State Route 90 near Haddonfield Road Overpass

Pennsauken, New JerseyApr 14, 20071 Comments

Rt.90 is a short stretch of road between the Betsy Ross Bridge (from Philadelphia PA) and Rt.73 in Pennsauken NJ. Going eastbound from Philadelphia over the bridge the speed limit is 45 MPH on the bridge and for a couple of miles until the exit ramp for Haddonfield Road where the speed limit increases to 50 MPH for the last half mile. Speed traps are set up on the other side of a crest in the road just after the exit ramp for Rt. 130, and also about a quarter mile past this point – around a curve under the Haddonfield Road overpass just past the exit ramp where the 50 MPH speed limit sign is located.
Going westbound toward Philadelphia there are speed traps set up on the other side of the crest of the Rt. 90 on-ramp (ramp speed limit is 25 MPH) from northbound Rt. 73, and about a half mile past the point where the 45 MPH speed limit sign is located on the other side of a crest in the road.
Police cars regularly patrol the Betsy Ross Bridge in both directions. They also position themselves at each end of the bridge and the westbound-only toll booth approach.

Comments:
Going from NJ to Philly on the Betsy Ross bridge is real I have been caught twice in the last our years. I now set my cruise control to 45 and forget about it. People keep whizzing past me; but I will not be caught off guard again. Watch out this is a fair warning
