State Route 91 near Town Line

South Berwick, MaineNov 05, 20071 Comments

The speed limit is 35 from where Rt 91 leaves Rt 236 near South Berwick to where it enters the town of York (roughly 4 miles, at which point it goes up to 45, police enforce the 35 limit assiduously. The character of the housing density does not change when the limit goes up in York.

Comments:
The word "Trap" implies that it was designed to trick people into getting a speeding ticket and a fine. This isn't a trap. There are signs posted. South Berwick evidently feels a more prudent speed is advisable for the area and have posted the speed limit there. Pay attention and drive at the speed limit and you won't be "trapped". Problem solved.
