State Route Pendleton Pike SR67 near Esquire Plaza Shopping Ctr.
Lawrence P.D. likes to sit in Esquire Plaza Shopping Center (South side of the street) and run radar and also just observe for ANY infractions of the traffic moving on Pendleton Pike (S.R. 67). ALSO watch for them further East on Pendleton Pike (S.R. 67) backed into the Bait Shop (South side of street).

All of this is true but I don't consider it a "radar trap' because the speed limit is posted, 40mph by the Esquire Plaza Shopping Center and farther east on Pendleton Pike, past Post Road, it is 45mph. The Lawrence radar cops do sit in wait for speeders with hand held radar guns ready to shoot you down. They also will pull you over for infractions such as giving no turn signal, not wearing a seat belt, brake light burned out, not coming to a full stop when turning right on a red light, etc. Lawrence radar is everywhere! Be advised, they do not give you a break for minor infractions and especially for speeding if only for 8mph over the speed limit. Believe it!
