State Route Rt. 13 near State Route Rt.12

Felton, DelawareSep 07, 20073 Comments

Speed limit goes from 55 to 45 all through town. The speed reduction is not harsh or unrealistic, but they are sneaky. They use unassuming unmarked cars that might make some people think twice about stopping. It seems that they also target out of state tags. This is a popular route to the DE. shores in the summer. This is not a town, it is a speedtrap.

Comments:
The speed limit actually decreases from 55 to 45 as you approach the traffic light at SR 14. There have been several fatalities at that intersection. DELDOT sets the speed limit, not the town.

The police officers clocking speeding vehicle can't see your license plates, especially at night so out of state drivers are not being singled out. If you are using SR 14 to get to the Delaware Beaches, you are lost.

yes, they are using unmarked Police cars, but that is not illegal.......& this is a Small Town with an Elementary School with Small Children there. It is a very popular intersection and yes it is a route to the beaches! you can go across 12 or 14 or any other cross road to get to route 1. People have been using these roads for years & they drive TO FAST & have no regard for anybody......Get Em Guys!!
