VT State Police, tho predominately Lamoille County Sheriffs Dept. Heading northeast into Johnson VT15 goes from 50mph to 35mph in farmland, just northeast of Foote Brook Rd & ‘Forget me not shop’ and drops again to 25 mph just before you cross the bridge heading northeast into town, continuing up the hill out of town is all 25mph. LCSD sometimes sits in the parking lot of the fire department/municipal ofcs just before the bridge. They park on the sidewalk near Johnson Woolen mills, and near the Johnson Spring (by DJs deli) and the large shoulder area coming up the hill out of town, opposite collins hill rd. LCSD utilizes both stationary radar at points mentioned as well as head-on radar, from both marked cruisers as well as an unmarked white Toyota Highlander hybrid with green (non police) plates. LCSD seems to dedicate full time officers to constant back and forth patrols and radar along this stretch of road.
