SW 84th and 224SW/Chase Lake
As 84th takes a dip and the elevated road passes over Chase Lake (really just a peat bog), a County Sherriff sits just south of the bridge on the east side of the roadway, hidden by trees, out of sight until it’s too late. They catch in both directions, northbound & southbound, as people standardly increase speed when going downhill. The fine is the same for 3 MPH over as it is for 10MPH over –
ka-ching! easy money.
