Temescal Park

There’s a camera at the stop sign at the intersection right before you leave the park. It’s operated by the department of parks and not the PD. If you don’t do a full stop you get a letter in the mail with a link to the video of your rolling stop. The charge will be $125.

Comments:
This speed trap is a cash cow for the Santa Monica Conservancy. There is no other reason for it. The manager of the park says it’s there for safety reasons. Not true. This is a quite Park and a rolling stop, I mean rolling 2MPH is not a danger to any one as there is very little traffic. Just a note ,a local went to court and won his case. Money refunded
