Tennyson Parkway near Windcrest Drive

Plano, TexasApr 20, 20082 Comments

This road is a large 6-lane divided parkway that tends to pychologically encourage speeding. The posted limit is 40 but 60 feels very comfortable and prudent. There is often a marked Plano Police car in a left turn lane pointing westward. Enforcement here started being very common around March 2008. On one had I see the city’s point, since there are intersections and business driveways in the area- but if speed really is a problem, perhaps the city would be wise to install more intersection-control along this road so that motorists won’t have as much opportunity to stretch out and accelerate.

Comments:
Plano Texas is not anywhere near Windcrest TX which is a small city surrounded by San Antonio. There is no Plano as a town nearby nor is there a street/parkway named Tennyson Parkway any where in the area for at least 100 miles or more.

Wow, seriously? To the person who commented on the original post - how did you get Windcrest, TX out of Windcrest Drive? If you had half the intelligence to search for Windcrest Drive near Plano, TX on Google Maps, you would have also seen Tennyson Parkway. I hope you don't take this as an insult, but perhaps this update from an old English proverb is appropriate: "better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to respond to a post and remove all doubt"
