Be aware that the New Smyrna motorcycle cops main function is to catch the “criminal” speeders doing 35 in a 30 zone. They need more money to hire more motorcycle cops to write more speeding tickets. Don’t even think about doing 36 in a 35 zone! They are lurking in the shadows all over town – not to cut down on traffic accidents but in areas where they have the best crack at writing you a ticket. Best advice? Go to Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach to spend your dollars.
