I guess I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with the speed traps if the police actually followed traffic laws. Unfortunately, the majority of the Poquoson and York-Poquoson police force are over staffed and over friendly with each other. The police here are the only people that can be just about guaranteed to never go below or at the speed limit, use turn signals, stop at red lights or stop signs or take legal UTurns and you will NEVER see a policeman pull over or even warn another policeman about it. They act like they can do whatever they want. Most of it is because it’s a small town and they work on a “good ole boy” system allowing all other police and certain, select citizens, to do whatever they want because they are related or friends. Basically it’s a town with too many “above the law police” and nowhere near enough crime to justify even the amount of police and they’re still hiring so they can work even less and need even more budget to justify all the speeding tickets and other random tickets they give out.
