THE WHOLE CITY!!!

As someone who used to work for the city, I know this first hand!!! BE CAREFUL!!

Comments:
As a former traffic officer for the city of Easley, it is quite comical to read all of the "speed traps" the city has. Myself and my partner took pride in not stopping (or writing a ticket) to cars until they were 15 miles per hour over the speed limit. One month I recall writing 327 tickets and my partner wrote 354 tickets. The whole quota thing is a myth. I was never required to write a specific amount of tickets by any means. A piece of advise for folks travelling through the city would be to adhere to signs that say "reduce speed ahead", that is generally an indicator that the speed limit is about to change to a slower speed. Also, in South Carolina, 36 in a 35 IS SPEEDING. An idea may be to take Highway 11 around the city, it will add atleast an hour and one half to your drive, but you won't have to worry about the City of Easley speed trap. Keep in mind the Highway Patrol frequents Highway 11. My final suggestion would be to obey the speed limit and have your seatbelt on, that probably will keep you from getting a ticket. Happy travels!
