The Whole Village
Hazel Crest PD and the Oakland Raiders have two things in common. First, they are black and silver in coloration. The squads out there are black with silver roofs. I have seen them use strictly Federal Signal light bars. But the main similarity is that they can be downright brutal. In fact, these cops are so prolific that they actually have their own courtroom for traffic citations in the Markham Courthouse.
Be especially attentive on Kedzie south of 167th St. At times, you can see them out en masse nailing motorists. There are some very well hidden side streets (Fountainbleu, for example) that they can sit and totally hide from traffic. They can also use the lots at 175th and 183rd to nail motorists.
Speaking of 183rd, watch out in the area bordering Country Club Hills. That’s like going from the frying pan and into the fire…literally. You are liable to get roasted between Kedzie and Pulaski since both towns share jurisdiction on that street. In addition, Homewood PD will set up shop east of Kedzie and they are no picnic, either.
Also, watch yourself in the areas bordering East Hazel Crest. All three areas can and will assist Hazel Crest at any time.
I have also seen multiple squad stops on Kedzie, 183rd, 167th, and 175th.
