Third Avenue near 25th Street

Manhattan, New YorkJul 26, 20070 Comments

When traveling north on 3rd Ave, it becomes a one-way at 24th Street. Because many drivers think it’s still a one-way, they attempt to make a left turn onto 25th St from the center lane, and can collide with others vehicle in the two left-most lanes. Making a left turn from a one-way street onto another one-way street is usually noy illegal. There are plenty of signs and green arrows, but many drivers miss them and make the turn. A marked cruiser is usually sitting on the right side of the street, in front of a Baruch College building, and the officer pulls drivers over two or three at a time.
