Third Street near Schools

The problem here are the school zones. The speed limit when one comes into Prineville from the west on State Hwy 126 goes from 45 to 30 to 20,if there are children present, not that this is wrong, but on the opposite side of the street going west the speed limit is 20 at all hours of the day. This is confusing. Then going on east through town after you go by the courthouse and police station you come to another school zone that is 20 at all hours for both directions of travel. The problem with this is that going east there is no sign to tell you when the zone ends, confusing again, then just 3 blks from the start of the school zone you come into another school zone that says according to the sign that the speed limit is 20 mph if there are children present, other wise the limit is 30 mph. The police are constantly putting up their little speed radar trailer right beside the aforementioned school zone sign with a sign on it saying the speed limit is 20 mph. They will leave this on all day long sometimes when there isn’t a kid in sight(this is because they are in the school building). Again with this zone there isn’t a sign to tell you when you are out of the school zone. I find this whole thing all the way down the street especially going east to be very confusing and I’ve seen numerous people stopped on either side of the zones. It doesn’t happen to me because I pay attention to the signs, and there are a number I’m sure who get stopped that don’t, but there are those I’m sure of also that aren’t sure of just where the zones actually are, like I said it is very confusing.
