Town of Damascus, Arkansas
a 4 lane road, with one sign up that says 45 miles per hour. You don’t have time to slow down and they are on you. BUT, they will make a deal and not give you a speeding ticket , if you will sign an unsafe driving ticket. You find out later that it is for 280 dollars!! A town can’t get but 60% of its revenue from speeding tickets. This is how they get around it. What do they do with all that money??

They didn't offer me anything but a speeding ticket. I was going 60 in a 45. Go figure, the 2 lane highway coming into town has a 60 MPH limit, so he was sitting ON the 45 mph speed limit sign.. I had no time to slow down. It bites that they are legally STEALING money from people passing through town. I'll pay the ticket and tell everyone I know about this hick speed trap...
I am right along with the gentleman that posted above. That officer gave me a ticket for the same exact thing. I have never had a ticket in my 21 years of driving and he could have gave me a warning at least. We need to get together and start a class action lawsuit and shut that officer up that gives speeding tickets all day long when there is crime and drugs all around him.
