Traffic Light Exiting Glendora Marketplace South Lone Hill Ave.
Left turn exiting Marketplace, Home Depot, onto South Lone Hill Ave. Yellow light very short, not able to cross double lane safely before light changes. Police know this and are waiting. I have seen several stopped for running red light. Cost me $546, first ticket in over 30 years. City needs the revenue.

I got one there also, $554 bucks. However, just for your info, the city gets 10 cents on every buck for traffic fines. The rest goes to our great state. I researched this for almost a month. I also found out that the cops don't get any extra $$$$ for writing lots of tickets. They actually get paid the same regardless of the number of citations they issue.... that means they just LIKE writing tickets - go figure!!!
Traffic signal installations and such are done with state traffic engineering standards in mind. I do wish the signals on Lone Hill could be sychronized better but the volume of traffic at peak commute times in pretty high. As far as the enforcement goes I wish more gridlock tickects were written to the selfish people who can't be patient. The previous post is correct about traffic fines. Most goes to fund special legislative projects/ programs which raises the actual fine. Traffic enforcement is one of the aspects of law enforcement officers responsibilities and I expect them to carry them out. So follow the law and you are good to go!
