This is nothing but a big lie... First let me say I am not a law enforcement officer, I am a teacher...The Roberta Police Department does a great job to be as undermanned and underpaid as they are. There is very little crime in our city and hardly any major crime at all. We owe these officers a dept of gratitude for what they do as well as the Sheriff's Department of Crawford County. Thank you for what you do and for making our community safe!

Beware! Yes, we have several areas set up to catch speeders and they will use whatever excuse to pull you over. As far as the teachers comment, the police are frequently at the schools arresting our children. They will DEFINITELY lie to obtain a conviction. I have proof.

Roberta has been a speed trap with corrupt cops for at least 40 years that I have known about. Passed thru there @ 2:00 am on the way home one night and saw the cop hiding behind a store bldg. After I passed by, he followed me with his lights out for about a mile on into town and out the other side, assume he was waiting to see if I would speed up too soon on other side of town. Also knew a local guy here who worked part time there as a cop and he always had guns for sale as he confiscated them from people who had them concealed in illegal places within their vehicles and would surrender the gun rather than face charges. Also seems to me that I remember something about another cop down there arrested for concealing a camera in the womens restroom at police station. Not absolutely as certain of this as the other cases.
