Long stretch of 55mph(approx 3 miles)though areas that appear to be eligible for 70 mph.Slightest infraction will get you a ticket.

Comments:
From what I understand, almost all the citations issued are 15mph + the speed limit. For those who use the word "Slightest", that is 70 + mph in a 55 zone. We have a population diverse in age, and our other population, if you hit them after dark are most likely going to total your car; our deer, and wildlife, especially the deer! Most of the citizens of Runaway Bay believe 55 through here is to fast after dark, maybe we should get it lowered to 45. One of our officers writes on an average persons for 74 to 88 mph. 19+ is not slight! Get your facts straight! A speed trap is defined as a stretch of road with no visible warning signs of immediate drop in speed. One warning sign on each end of town!
