U.S. Hwy. 183 & Exit at Oak Knoll Dr.

Austin, TexasFeb 16, 20101 Comments

Targeting drivers on U.S. Hwy. 183 going north in the morning, they use the bad design of the Highway’s exit at Oak Knoll Dr. Drivers have to make 3 lane changes to get on the Frontage Road to get into the business park. So, they are ticketing excessively for unlawfull lane change. Then they target commuters going south on the way home on U.S. Hwy. 183 – same area.

Comments:
People getting the the tickets for the unlawful lane change receive them because one they fail to use signals and two because they cross the double wide white strip. Just because you can't get into the proper lane until the last moment does not make it legal do make illegal lane changes. Failure to also lower your speed does not mean this is a speed trap.
