U.S. Hwy. 41 Through Entire Town
Local White Springs police enforce the 30 or 35mph limit on U.S. Hwy. 41, often lying in wait either at the school or at the north border of town. There is often a patrol car in waiting during certain hours when limit drops to 20 near school.

I've been driving since 1944 and have driven almost 1,500,000 miles.
The ONLY speed ticket I have ever received was in White Springs, FL, on US 41 just north of town. It looked as if I was out of town headed north, and I didn't see the 35 mph sign--so I clicked "resume" on my speed control to go back to the legal highway speed of 55 mph.
The policeman clocked me at 53 mph and it cost me $70.
I still think it was a trap.
