U.S. Hwy 70 and Tom Mann Road
Carteret County Deputy faces westbound and Newport Police Officer faces eastbound while sitting stationary in the grass median near the railroad tracks coming into Carteret County from Craven County. If neither of these guys stop you then look out for the female North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper sitting past the railroad tracks off on the Tom Mann Road. She is waiting for that special person who is arriving late to the Crystal Coast beaches and who mistakenly thinks its safe to speed up because the other two didn’t pull out. These guys don’t play and will write a ticket at the drop of the hat. This area is well lit in blue between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.
