The description above is misleading. The speed limit is reduced from 50 to 30, then to 25 over a distance of approximately 1/4 mile. If the "trap" is hidden by a small hill, then so are pedestrians. Uniontown is a single lane residential neighborhood with lots of children and elderly people, and street parking. There have been several close calls with people driving way too fast though town, so it is not a "speed trap" but simply an attempt to get people to slow down. I'm sure all of you appreciate it when people obey the speed limit in your neighborhoods. We're not any different.
