Uniontown
After reading the other on this site, I found that my story is identical. The officer claimed I was doing 70 in a 55 mph zone. The highway had been 65. I am a cruise driver so I do not speed. I live in a small town that has traffic almost stop when you go through, with a 35 mph limit, so I had already hit my brakes to take off the cruise before nearing any buildings. I never saw the reported 55 mph, as well as my husband. I have been driving for 55 years and have never received a speeding ticket. Such a shame for Alabama that this town is so devious. Just because you are from out of state doesn’t mean you can afford their $235 ticket, plus $10.38 processing fee. I am just praying this doesn’t make my insurance go up as well.
