University Avenue near NW 32nd Street

Students beware. This area is a cash crop for the police.
The trap is for westbound travelers on University Ave. They will nail you as to come over the top of the hill that you travel down prior to intersecting with 34th St. Almost always motorcycle officers and almost always a ticket. Your detector will do you no good as there is always a false signal bouncing around the area. Thanks to the tree trimmings for the 2007 Hurricane season, you have a better chance of seeing the cop prior to getting beamed, but don’t count on it.

Comments:
I got a ticket there! I worked for FDOT sign crew, & my friend / road partner just died on the road. I was coming back from his funeral, saw an idiot swerving around & passed him. Before I could slow, I got zapped. I knew then, I needed a b.a. radar. I got the Passport 9500i, cus it has gps. So, you block out the false signals from the stores when no cop. Then u know when it's the real deal. Good luck & thanks for sharing!

This one SUCKS. The speed limit is 30, and even if you are going 30 as soon as you crest the hill and start heading down the vehicle picks up speed. Motor officer at the bottom of the hill! Better be riding your brake as you come over that hill, he will get you!
