The village of New Miami is still at it. I received a letter with a photo of my vehicle and license plate indicating this vehicle was going 35mph in 25 mph on West Elkton road on May 10, 2019 at 8:21AM. I indeed was traveling on that road at that time and date but was in no hurry taking a leisurely drive on a rural road trying to kill some time due to being early for an appointment. There were no other cars or people on the road. This is strictly a money grab and the village needs to stop this. Especially after already getting a judgement against them from the previous program. If I were driving too fast or reckless I would gladly pay this fine. The fact that it is a civil fine and does not go on your traffic record reinforces to me this is just for the money. $95 won't break me but a lot of people living pay check to pay check may have to cut back on making their rent, utility, grocery, or other living expense. Shame on you New Miami.
