The speed limit on US180W traveling from Albany, TX to Anson, TX decreases from 75 to 55. At the city limit sign, the speed limit reduces to 55. In less than a mile (more like 100 ft.), the speed limit decreases from 55 to 40. Police park off the road and patrol this line and pull over and ticket anyone who is going more than 40. It is incredibly difficult to slow down this much in the distance given. There is no warning sign that the speed limit is reducing. I have seen yellow warning signs in other towns, but this one does not give any warning. This is definitely a speed trap designed to raise revenue from those unfamiliar to the town.
